We all are made of layers; the little baby pinning for mummas loving touch layered by the peppy school girl filled with joy on seeing the rainbow for the first time; layered by the young teenager and her dreams of future, layered by the young women with eye filled with star dust. Layers of love, hope, pain, failure, enchantment and myriads of emotions. They all come together to make her. And, that is what my painting celebrates and tries to unravel; the layers of her under the surface.
